Blue screen of Death

Recently my computer blue screened on me after I woke it up from hibernation. For some reason this time it chose to sit at 100% cpu usage for around 5 minutes before finally deciding to fix itself by blue screening.

This got me thinking, how many of our computer related sayings have been coined by someone in the original dot com boom and have carried over to a time and place many many years later?

I all so decided that it was likely to be caused by the ram or the cpu. I guess we will never know though as it hasn't happened again as of late.

Wow

God of War 2 is everything as brilliant as GoW. Ive only started playing this today. But I can say for certain that it is dam exciting.

If anything its slightly more complicated then the first one and seemingly needs me to think about what I am doing more. But I like that. However, the combat is very similar if not the same. Still love to button mash and easily cleave my way though the game on normal.

There is heaps more back story now. Its almost as if the designers paid special attention to ensuring that as many of the myths and legends were incorporated into the game as possible.

Over all I'd very much recommend playing this game It should only be like $5 at some trade-in place, So you should definitely check it out.

TF2

Ive decided to take some time out from Fallout: New Vegas and get back into TF2 and oh man so many more weapons and hats. I cant believe I haven't played this more often. Got a bunch of new weapons and they are awesome.

But on a side note, Ive noticed an extreme sensitiviy difference between both these games.in FNV I play with a mouse sensitivity of like 3 or 4 blocks and TF2 its set at around 8. But what Ive noticed is if I move the mouse a similar amount on both games, my man spins wildly in  FNV and no where near asmuch in TF2. I have to change my mouse down to the lowest DPI manually (Yay G5) to get FNV to play sensibly.

Anyone noticed anything similar?

God of War

So as I suggested before, I blew the dust out my Ps2 and started playing God of War again.

Turns out that I had a memory card with a partially completed game on it and well, sure as hell I planted my ass and clocked this game again and I tell you what I'd forgotten about how excellent this game was. The smooth movement of the fighting system or the overall straight killing machine-ness that Kratos is.

One aspect that I didn't fully appreciate when I first played this is the almost 0 load time this game has. I can think of more then several times that I got stuck in one area and continuously died for about 15 minutes until finally getting through. This was made much more bearable by the almost instant return to game play instead of pissing about at a lolyourdead screen.

Definitely worth another play if your looking to break out your ps2 again.

No work.

So I am still unemployed and its not looking like that is going to change anytime soon unfortunately. So in the mean time I am working on expanding my CV in between hours of playing Fallout NV and TF2. Soon I may begin to properly rename my various files and movies as well as deleting old crap thats no longer needed. The GF isnt very impressed at the minute but she has full time work and therefore wont be seeing me slothing it up on the computer during the day.

I might also crack out the ps2 we have lying around for some laughs.

Holidays

Oh man I have so much time on my hands I keep forgetting to update my blog. Today I helped my brother pull the engine out of his car in preparation for some heavy modifications in the future and an entrant to local club events. He recently got a roll cage welded in and it looks mad.

Sweet.

Officially on holiday as of tomorrow. Driving 5 hours to my parents house to eat their food and use their hot water for a week. It's a pretty sweet deal when I go home.
On a side note I bought  Fallout: New Vegas and its dame sweet. very similar to F3, because of the same engine, but all the movements and actions have been refined. Definitely recommend it to people who enjoyed the first one.

Jobs

Man jobs are hard to come by. I'm pretty much applying to everywhere that says situations vacant and I will work just about anywhere, doing anything. but sadly no one wants to give me any.
